ASP.NET MVC Sessions At Mix

asp.net mvc 0 comments suggest edit

After my critical post of the Mix website, I found this other site, http://sessions.visitmix.com/, which should have been prominently linked to from the main site because it has a working search bar and is fairly usable and flashy!

I gave two sessions on ASP.NET MVC at Mix.

As you can see, we tried to have a bit of fun with the session titles. If you’re not tired of hearing me talk about MVC, you can also see an interview I did with Adam Kinney on Channel 9.

I will be posting my demos on my blog sometime soon hopefully. I want to give a few of them the full blog treatment. Partly because all of my demos are built live and I don’t keep the final product around, so I need to redo the steps. And I’m lazy. There. I said it.

My session "Working across the client continuum" also had some MVC content (next to AJAX, Silverlight and WPF clients). I just posted the code here:
    blog.galasoft.ch/.../...ode-for-my-mix09-talk.aspx
and the session video and slides are at
    http://videos.visitmix.com/MIX09/T13F
    Cheers,
    Laurent

Hi Phil, thanks for the two "awesome" "awesome" sessions. That would be great if you can share the demo code.

    Yup.
This is actually videos.visitmix.com (which sessions.visitmix.com should redirect to)
If you go to the updated http://live.visitmix.com you will see that this is the only site we link too.
We could have done better on the browsing experience for sessions and we will have it improved by our next event PDC.

Also, http://videos.visitmix.com is built on Oxite.
You can get the code for the entire site at http://codeplex.com/oxite.

    Phil,
I'd love to see the full source code that you used for the demos. I appreciate all the work you've been doing to get ASP.NET MVC out there and into people's faces. It appears to be making some waves.

    Phil,
Could you post an ASP.NET MVC sample on the jquery Grid that you didn't get to in your Ninja talk?
    Thanks,
    Chris
