Why You Gotta Love The British

Tonight at Soccer practice, we scrimmaged for a while then ran through some drills.  We have an English guy and a Scottish guy (who hardly anyone can understand) on the team who are a laugh a minute.  You can imagine their surprise when we started a shooting drill and our team manager tells them that we all have to shag our own balls.

Hahaha. I love the fact that the US and UK are two countries separated by the same language (to paraphrase someone)... I wish I could have seen the confused look on their faces when they were trying to work out how.

Hey, t'was you lot who changed our language.

Love the example usage in Wikipedia about asking "Can you go out and shag the lot?". That's a question used often in many a drinking establishment in the UK, normally after too many Bud Lites ;-)

Bud Lites... I don't know what drinking establishments in the UK you've been frequenting; but I'd suggest a change of venue and a CHANGE OF BEER. ;)
