Any Non-Techie Readers?

Just wondering, but are there any non-techie readers of this blog (besides my wife of course)? The reason I ask is that I am noticing that I am writing less and less about what’s going on in my life. In part, because I think my audience is almost entirely tech readers and google searchers.

Not that I would suddenly turn this blog into an on the Oprah couch tell-all blog if you were all non-geeks. Seriously.

The technical stuff is good. Still having problems getting the image of you eating Fermented Soy Beans while lounging in your panties during half-time at a soccer game out of my mind ;) .

I say mix it up man, write about whatever you want to. That's one of the things I like about Raymond Chen's blog is that in addition to the daily tech post, he mixes it up with other stuff. That's what post categories are for.

Actually, I have no problem writing about whatever I want.

With many tech blogs I've seen, the issue for the author is whether or not to write anything personal because they feel the audience only wants technical content.

For me, it's almost the opposite. Unless I have non-tech readers, I almost don't care to write all that much of a personal nature. ;)

Just to chime in...I'm here primarily for technical enlightenment ;-), but I enjoy your other posts too. I think it's a good mix to include some personal/non-techie stuff to keep the mood lighter and make your blog as a whole more interesting.
