Workspace Pictures: Work and Home Offices

I know a lot of people like to post pictures of their workspace online. Not sure why (vanity!), but they just do. So I thought I'd jump on that bandwagon and do the same.

This first picture shows my work office with it's nice 17th floor view.

Work Office
Strange green bands take over the screens.

This next one is our home office.

If you look carefully, you'll notice the hastily minimized porn application.

As you can see, the home setup is much nicer than the work setup with dual 17" flat panels monitors, and a slick looking aluminum Shuttle case. I wish my company would invest in nice monitors. My work monitors flicker, make me cross-eyed and spit in my food. If you look closely at the top picture, the computer case is literally held together with scotch tape on top. The IT department wouldn't budget duct tape.

The little figurine on top is the "Buddy Christ" from Dogma. You can purchase that on Kevin Smith's website. My wife painted the red shoe on the left.

Hey, you forgot to link to my vanity pictures! :)

What kind of wicked keyboard is that?

Ah yes. I've now added your workspace to the list.

That, my friend, is a bonafide Goldtouch (Goldtouch.com) keyboard. It has a lever on top that allows you to manipulate the two sides (joined at the top middle) of the keyboard. I like it opened slightly outward and having the middle slightly higher than the sides. I used to have it like an inverted V.

Cool. I thought you were one of those "alternative keyboard layout" types :)

Funny you mention it, but I am. I use Dvorak although my keyboard is QWERTY. I just set the regional settings.

Classic! I have the same desk. However I have two of them in my office. I need to space for my Mac and my PCs. I did however by the Network stand from IKEA and it works great . I have my two servers at the bottom, my two printers on the next two shelves and then my router and switch at the top. Saves a ton space. I'll have to put a picutre of my office on my blog soon!

Yah dude. I'd love to see it. My office room is small and behind my desk is my wife's table and sewing machine. I'd love to have a server in there, but no can do yet.
