michael moore is a self indulgent and arrogant asshole. First, people don't elect the president. The electoral college does. The act of voting for the president is actually ridiculous because your vote doesn't matter. Whether you vote for someone or not doesn't matter the electoral college can vot how they want. Read the law its in there. so stop complaining about how gore was cheated and how he won the popular vote, it doesn't matter. Second, the majority of the troops that are downrage believe they are doing something good and believe they should stay until its won. And let me remind people that you may want the soldiers out of there but its not up to you. After watching your interview with Jay Leno this past Tuesday night, I wanted to ask whether you honestly believe that that the four 9/11 rescue workers that you brought to Cuba actually received the same medical care that the average Cuban citizen does?

You lauded the Cuban health care system by stating to Jay Leno that Ms. Reggie Cervantes had snuck out of the hospital without the cameras and came back into the hospital to see if she would receive the same care…and she did. Therefore, you said that the care she received must have been representative of what every Cuban not only has access to, but also receives.

However, anyone who speaks Spanish can tell that not only is Ms. Cervantes clearly not a native Spanish speaker (she even stated her birthday in an incorrect form when she was being admitted), but that she certainly does not speak with a Cuban accent. Given that - not to mention the fact that none of you were wearing clothes that the average, impoverished Cuban wears - would have definitely clued the Cuban hospital personnel that she was a foreigner and, therefore, should receive superior care.

If you are interested in learning the real truth about the Cuban health care system or life under a dictator, you should interview Cubans on the Island who have lived without basic human rights which they are entitled to by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I think your movie SICKO will give usall somthing to think about for a long time to come. And just maybe the right people will see it and try and do better with our health care system. I pay an outragous price for healthcare after my husband died( police officer for 33 years) just so my two children can have care. And what they charge is crazy!!!! Both the Dr. and the Med.

The irony to this he condemned a media that actually supports his ignorance. The fact that Dr. Gupta called him out on his stats is HUGE!!! I can attest from his very first escapade he called a movie that was filmed in Flint, MI this man is a bum. He capitalizes on the uneducated, poverty stricken and ignorant. Michel moore is a geinus. But to work,Kaiser Permante has the slogan "thrive" its a lie! From the time of my experiance with Kaiser .It has been Hell. Recently I have discovered that Big K Materially Mis handles Medication . It is stored in warehouses not condusive to the safe handling of medication. Resulting in medication that is innefective,Dangerous,and it appears that they buy placiboes and fake medication to dispense to their Paying customers. This fraud becones clear when you find medications purched elsewhere are effictive,safe,and trustworthy.Worst of all in the name of corporate thrift the pharmist at bigK practices medicine. The mantra of the corp. Is." Its too soon". In the ordinary handling of pills some are droped,lost ect. You pay big bucks for the services of bigK Why not cheerful service.

Today I went out to the post office. I decided to speak to the woman in line ahead of me. I thought I ought to point out that in ww2 a democrat in a wheelchair managed to wrap up the Japaneese and the Germans in 4 short years. Sorry to say I'm totally disgusted with American policy. I've lived in the States and worked there and came back to Europe convinced that the U.S. was on the wrong track way back to the Bobby Kennedy days. I hoped to be proven wrong... but the spirit of prudishness and entire lack of knowledge about the rest of the world which I had discovered then has proved to be correct.... There is no democracy without freedom... a frase I had thought was what America was all about. It's sad to see and what is even worse are the results of bigotism, false patriotism and a sense of being right whatever... whether this involves a world war or not.

Maybe Michael Moore is a little Left...but I feel...as far as healthcare and this country...he is right on target!!! I am a registered nurse (now a caregiver for my Mom) and I worked in nursing for over 10 years. (Also, retired military...but that is another story!) It not only caused me to question my choices of an idealistic profession but it totally sickened me! Nurse to patient ratio's were usually off and patient care suffered greatly! I saw diabetic patients who had tried to care for wounds beause they could not afford to come into the emergency room and ended up in the hospital with really horrible staph infections and the possibility of amputation. I have seen the homeless abused and imprisoned because a town didn't want them on their streets. I have watched the problem of homelessness and wondered how we let this problem escalate! As a nurse and a patient, I have seen medical malpractice on a scale that is outrageous for a country that is supposedly so advanced! I feel if anything, the movie under exagerated the healthcare system in the United States. I would have included the atrocities that occur in nursing homes...and please...don't forget the over priced dental care...which the middle class and poor can barely afford. I have suffered at the hands of incompetent healthcare providers...and watched (helplessly) when my Father slowly died (and starved to death) with lung cancer which had metastisized...and now am taking care of a Mother with dementia and all of the incompetent lwayers, bankers, psychiatrists, doctors, nurses and dentists. Medications not prescribed properly...lab values not monitored, dental work that was subpar resulting in improper fitting dentures (end result-no dentures)...over medication Oh, I also delivered a baby in this country and what a bloody joke that was...the nurse forgot to start my PCA pump (yes, my pain pump!)...you can imagine the rest of the story..oh...the same nurse left me in a pool of amniotic fluid for an overextended amount of time!! Oh yeah, they did not catch the fact that my baby was jaundice...I pointed it out to a sleeping nurse! This is healthcare in one of the richest countries in the world? We have turned into a country of shameless incomopetence and mediocrity!

Hey Michael Moore ! Can you tell me if you have any insight on Land Patents, specifically in California ? If so, we may need your help on a few things.

I just watched Sicko and could relate to so many things Michael brought up. My husband has been retired 7.5 years. Our retiree medical insurance has tripled since he retired. He is on both Medicare and United Healthcare and still we pay out hundreds of dollars every time he has any kind of medical treatment. Now EEOC has sued that companies no longer have to cover retirees medical insurance, which will leave me without any insurance until I turn 65 in three more years. Our medication co-pays have also skyrocketed! Now with the price of food and fuel, we have even less to spend on necessities.
We are still looking for the golden years.
